Herman Miller manufactured the Aeron chair with a view to create the most comfortable chair, suited for working conditions. The chair was designed by Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick and has earned a permanent spot in the New York Museum of Modern Art collection.
The Aeron chair was designed to erase flaws that normal office furniture exhibit. The static posture inflicted by most office furniture is not conducive to the human body for extended periods of time. With a graphite and carbon fiber construction, the Aeron chair is sturdy, yet remarkably light in weight. There is no cheap carpet-like upholstery; instead a metal mesh-like material called pellicle covers the backrest and the seat. This allows proper ventilation to all the parts of the body that are rested in the chair. Another advantage that it holds over upholstered chairs is its resistance to stains, making it low maintenance and easy to clean. Besides the ability to adjust the urethane-padded arms rests, the seat tilt, and seat height, the chair also allows several other finer adjustments. It comes in three different sizes; A, B, and C each designed for different body types. Aeron chairs are also available in a variety of colors to match your other office furniture.
With a pretty price-tag and a 12-year warranty, you can look forward to a lifetime of ergonomically correct seating; back aches would be a thing of the past. With its unparalleled comfort, the Aeron chair makes any other chair feel like a pew.
